United 93
One of the most powerful films of 2006, "United 93" utilizes a documentary style in its unfolding of the tragic events of September 11, 2001, as the passengers on a hijacked flight band together to prevent further loss of life. "The Bourne Supremacy" director Paul Greengrass skillfully weaves together sequences on the plane and among the confused air traffic controllers, creating a suspenseful and harrowing film experience that culminates in a true example of American heroism. Greengrass has received an Oscar nomination for Best Director.
